:Rustle:
Rustle looked at his sister as they tramped through the brush, unsure of where they were going. So far, they had been lucky. He knew that both twins rarely survived, and so far, they both were alive. He looked up at the sky, great full for the rain that had finally stopped. The clouds still looked threatening though. He looked at Brooke. How are you? Do you need to rest? If so, they would just sleep here, since it was nearing sunset. He looked at her, waiting for the answer.
:Brooke:
She stopped walking to listen to her brother's question. She thought for a moment. Well, it is getting quite dark...and I am tired. She hated admitting her weakness. She wasn't near as strong as Rustle and she knew it, and she knew that he did to...and it made her mad sometimes. He was always trying to protect him, or take care of her. Well, sometimes she needed it, but other times, it just got on her nerves...THIS was NOT one of those moments... Well, maybe we should stop... She looked around to see where they were. There were bushes nearly as tall as she was, and big trees even taller...much taller.
:Rustle:
He listened to her words, and smiled. Good. This looks like a good place. he said as he saw the river in the distance. Hey Brooke, you thirsty? There's a river over there, and you could get some water...i need some too. He knew she'd never agree to it if she knew she was the only one that needed it...of course she wasn't, he really was thirsty. He turned to her, and watched as she nodded, and together, they made their way to the river, which, when they got there, was more of a creek or stream than river. Rustle walked into the water, and took a sip, it was crisp and cool. He glanced over at Brooke.
:Brooke:
She laid down beside the water near a large rock, and lowered her muzzle in for a drink. It was much needed. She drank her share, and smiled as she leaned back a bit against the rock. She was quite tired, but wasn't sure she wanted to go to sleep...
She watched as Rustle stepped out of the water, and came to lay beside her. She knew he would protect her.
:Rustle:
He looked at his sister, then laid his own head, for he was rather tired, though not enough to sleep. He kept an eye open...watching for any danger that might come.
