Brute laughed. Dial bobbed slightly. I suppose you are correct. He admitted. His past? Not much had happened in his past. He had not been the happiest of foals. Nor had he been terribly treated.
Well...I was a crossbreed between a Light Arabian mare and a Dark Paint stallion. My mother...I never saw her happy. She was always being beaten and tortured by my sire. He treated her like dirt...worse than dirt. It made me sick to watch him destroy her like that without caring.
But...I suppose because I was a male heir...he praised me. He practically worshiped me for crying out loud. He gave me what I wanted when I wanted...as long as it didn't have anything to do with my mom, and it wasn't against his Dark opinions. So...I was pretty much raised to be Dark. But something kept me from forfeiting myself to his side. My mother...during everything that happened...she never got very angry. She was always gentle to me, and seemed to understand why my father did what he did.
When I was four, I was kicked out of the herd. I left, barely willingly. A few days later, the other, younger colt in the herd was disowned. He told me that my father had killed my dam. As if he were waiting for me to leave before ending her life.
I left. I got as far away from there as I could. I started my first herd a year later. I had one mare, and we had a beautiful colt. He was practically my miniature. We even shared a white spot located behind our left ear. But, instead of making her happy, this seemed to enfuriate my fae. She kicked the foal in the throat...and he went mute. I was upset with her, but I did not leave. Ruining your only child's voice was enough punishment in my opinion.
So...we lived together for a few months. Then she died. Fell off a cliff. Slipped while playing with me and the little one. Without her, my son couldn't survive. I didn't know how to take care of him or feed him. I didn't want him to starve to death. He couldn't eat grass yet. He would have starved. Stag was starting to babble, nearly hyperventilate. It had been the worst decision he had ever made, and yet, it had been for the best. Not a day went by anymore that he didn't regret what he did, nor miss his first family terribly.
I had to. It took me a few hours to finally do it, but... He shook. It sounded so horrible. I couldn't just let him starve. It was more humane. It was...push him off the cliff...or have him suffer...starve...die slowly...for days, maybe even weeks. Hessian broke off. He took a few moments to catch his breath and his tears. Never again. Never again would he kill.
So I left. Again. I refuse to live anywhere with a cliff or a steep grade. I refuse. So...over the next couple years I had a few mares, sired a couple fillies. One day I was in a fight with a stallion, and I lost. He smacked me in the head, rendering me unconsious. When I woke up, my family was gone. And so I wandered, ending up here. And that's where you came in.
Stag paused, waiting for the scolding that was sure to come.

Cyclone frowned, It must have been really hard to do that. To your own son. But had I been in your position, i probably would have done something a long those lines. she lowered her head, even thinking of it sadened her. I understand your need to be away from cliffs and such as well. The same way I do my best to completely avoid fires. She nudged him, offering comfort. They had something in common, they've both lost family.

He smiled as best he could, the tears still rolling. He would have thanked her, but he feared that if he spoke he would no longer be able to hold the sobs at bay. Finally, after a few shaky breaths, the lord was able to calm himself down. Thanks. I needed that. His lyrics broke slightly. Looks like neither of us has had a perfect life. He stated the obvious. Maybe that's why we click. He thought. Indeed, the second he met her he knew she was special, and would be close to him. It was just one of those "love at first sight" things, even though he didn't believe in that.

Cyclone smiled, and nudged him gently. I think I'm going to get some sleep. She walked a few steps, and gently lowered herself onto the ground. Her belly was buldging, and she knew it wouldn't be long. She smiled, and looked up at Dissolve. She sighed heavily, she was tired. Thankyou. She didn't think she needed to explain, but she smiled happily. She laid her head down on the ground gently, and spread her legs out in front of her. She closed her eyes, but couldn't fall asleep right away. She opened her eyes again, and sighed.

"....Fair...." The gentle hum of the breeze brought a wisp of cool air. The stars blinked brightly in the sky, seeming to be the only light for miles and miles to come. The fae had walked far, stopping only for the ocassional affair. There was something about her.......that seemed to please a stallion. This brought her many homes, yet none seemed to interest her. Her optics shone with the color of the sky at midnight. They wandered....gazing upon the blossoming flowers with pure delight. Her choclate-colored banner danced beautifully with the wind as her hooves continued to thump quietly aganist the meadow. Her figure was light, as she had never been with foal. And her sillouette was lovely aganist the painted scenery.
Why had she pleased so many hearts only to have them broken? This was a question she even asked herself. I guess......it's because I need that..... she answered I need that extra something to live. I guess I need love......because it's something I never had as a fillie..... She continued along, taking in the sweet fragrence with pure joy. It hadn't even occured to her that this could be an occupied territory, and she had ignored all other scents. I guess she figured that she could lure her way into any home. For now, she was unthreatened.

Cyclone fell asleep quickly, but soon awoke with a start. The time had come. She looked at Dissolve, and snorted uneasily. She slowly stood, and looked at Dissolve once more, and walked away a bit. Her sides were buldging with the foal she carried, and it was beginning to hurt. She didn't know where she was going, but she frowned, as she lay down again. She layed her head down on the ground, and thrashed her legs a bit. Her age would make this birth more difficult than the others. Her vision was getting blurry, which meant now she could see nothing but blackness. She didn't know where she was, nor did she know where Dissolve was, and she hoped he was close. She gave a small whinny, calling him to her. She wouldn't be able to do this without someone here to help her.

Brute followed closely, careful not to startle her, nor leave her. He watched, worried, as she hobbled along. He felt so helpless, so useless. Her nicker comforted him, however, and he responded. I'm here, milove. Don't worry. Carefully he siddled up to her, his side pressed against her enlarged one. The foal was kicking...hard. How could she stand it? It must hurt, those little, hard talons scratching her side like that. It hurt him, for crying out loud, and he wasn't the one carrying the cherub.
As the pair walked along, nostrils caught scent of another. One not far. It didn't smell like a stallion. A mare. He assumed. Mares weren't threatening. He could search for her later. Right now, Cyclone was his main priority. Cyclone and her foal. Of course, the other didn't seem too far off. Perhaps if he called loud enough, she would be able to hear him and find him. Cyclone, do you smell that? He asked. He didn't want to attract another if Cyclone did not wish it.

She lay there on the ground, barely hearing. She was begining to sweat. The foal inside her kicked, and she snorted. The contractions had started now, and she tossed her head a bit, and slammed it down on the ground, creating a cloud of dust. It wouldn't be long now. She screamed as another contraction hit, this one was worse than the others. Her breathing was getting deeper, and quicker. She screamed as she gave one big pushed, and the foal slipped out. The black filly had one white leg, and a white marking on her sholder that looked somewhat like a sling-shot. Cyclone smiled, and nudged the filly. (you wanna play her? or me? I'd kinda like to but if you do that's fine.) (pic of the foal: [though not the name and stuff. I can change that part] i121.photobucket.com/albums/o204/dogzncatz55/Destiny.jpg )

(terribly sorry i didn't reply. you can play her. ) Orbs stared, wide, for a moment at the small mass of moist fuzz. That was all it really looked like. A black (with a little white) bundle of sopping wet, almost juicy, hair. Carefully, dial lowered and looked at the filly almost warily, as if he had never seen a newborn before. In fact, he had not seen one this young. His mares before had not needed his protection, so they would bring their little ones to him once they were...well...what they called "presentable". But he saw nothing wrong with the little fluff. She was quite adorable, actually. As if her big, already curious eyes would make the coldest of hearts melt and squeak an excited "awwwwww!!!!". Her eyes were stunning. Like her mothers. Deep and piercing, yet gentle and subtle. One look made from them made one feel that they knew exactly who you were. History, personality, secrets, regrets, hopes, hidden pain, and all. As if they knew more about you than you did. Oft were those they eyes of young ones, but hers were so much deeper. As she watched him, he felt her very life feeding from his. Like she was analyzing him, sorting out which of his characteristics she would inherit. It was breathtaking, for lack of better words. Hello, my little cherub. He cooed. Silently, he awaited her response. Her first noise. Optics looked hesitantly at Cyclone, as if afraid that if they turned away, the spell would be broken and the small one before him would vanish. What shall we name her, milove?

(okies.) :Foal: Taking her first breath of life, she looked around, finally coming to rest her orbs on the thing standing infront of her. It was huge! All she could do was stare, but she sensed that part of her belonged with it, it seemed satisfied by her, she wasn't sure who...or what it was. :Cyclone: She nuzzled her foal, thinking for a minute. Well, we could name her Destiny, or...Daybreak. She smiled and looked up at Dissolve. It wasn't daybreak...but it was nearing sunset. She liked that name, she also liked Destiny...She nudged the foal again. What do you think baby?((oh, what do you think if I make her deaf? I've been wanting to take on a deaf horse...that would be interesting but if you don't think so i dont' have to. ))

( O.o *very confuzzled look* oookkkaaayyy then... oh, and she could be deaf if you like. ) Auds perked. His little girl looked so confused, yet so curious. Hers were the sweetest eyes that he'd ever seen (ooc: tee hee. Moulin Rouge song...well, technically Elton John but it is more popularly assosiated with Moulin Rouge. I will stop talking now). He thought the names over for just a moment. Both were beautiful. It is hard to decide. He smiled. But I think she looks more like a Destiny. Indeed she did. Daybreak would be a name suited for a chestnut, or perhaps a skewbald like himself. She was a deep black, like her mother, with a couple splotches of her father's white in there. She looked much more like a Destiny. Now, my little cherub, He cooed, dubbing her with a nickname. You need to stand. You must be hungry, huh? Oh she's beautiful, milove. He sighed proudly.

(um....*thinks* This is confusing...but I THINK i know what you are talking about)
:Cyclone:
Mare smiled happily, nudging her foal, and standing up. That is a beautiful name. Destiny. She looked down at her foal.
:Destiny:
She smiled excitedly, instinctively knowing what to do. She looked at her father, curiously, not understanding what he wanted, only knowing what she had to do. She slowly and carefully stood up, trying to keep her balance, she fell once, but finally made her way to standing. She took her first step forward, and quickly started nursing.

He just couldn't seem to be rid of his smile. She was too cute. He felt like he would burst. Unable to contain his pride and joy, he laughed. a quick, almost sharp burst of noise that shook through his vocals and into his very soul. His Destiny. His little cherub. Destiny. Destiny. It was such a glorious name. He couldn't stop thinking about it. Over and over it washed through his mindscape like a neverending song. Destiny. Destiny. His little cherub. Do you need anything, Cyclone? He asked, readily. Right now he wanted nothing more than to dote upon his loves.
