Well...alright. He reluctantly replied. Stag shifted weight from right side to left then right again. He took another bite of grass, thinking deeply on what exactly he would ask. What was your past like? He finally spoke. He prayed he hadn't crossed the line...made her upset. He hated hurting anyone's feelings, and especially hated bringing up bad memories.

Cyclone gave a shaky smile. I had figured you would this question. And therefore, prepaired to be able to answer. She sighed, and laid down on the grass. She looked up at him, Well. Would you like the long version, with everything. Or would you prefer a brief summary? With not all but some of the most important? She didn't want to go into a long tale, and bore him. Nor did she want to give a short story, and leave him with questions. Since she didn't know which he would prefer, she had asked him. I am prepaired for either. She would gladly tell it all, or some. Which ever he prefered. The wind picked up a bit, as she waited for his reply.

Gentle orbs scanned hers. His heart ached for the mare. She sounded so sad, but it was no wonder why. She looked like she had been through so much...Whichever is most comfortable for you. I am one for long stories, but if you would feel more comfortable telling the shorter, than I will be grateful for that. Loving eyes watched her, and he prayed that answer was acceptable.

She smiled. I too am one for long stories. So, I recommend you get comfortable. She looked up at the sky as the wind died down. She had to decide where to begin. Finally, she decided, and began. When I was younger, with my first mate, whom was a paint, not unlike yourself. His name was Twix. We had a foal, we named her Twix's Twister...Twister for short. Now, Twister was one to wonder, she never really stayed by my side like most foals. Well, one day, she was off wondering, and Twix had gone to find her, when a fire broke out. I didn't know about it untill it was too late. I rushed into the forest to find them, but I couldn't find them anywhere. By then, the fire was closing in, and I had to leave, only hoping that Twix had found her and they had been able to save themselves. I returned later, only to find the chared remains of my home, and no horses anywhere. I stayed there for days, nearly starving myself, untill I finally accepted that they were gone. So I left. Now, that was only the beginning of her story, but she wanted to see what he had to say about that part.. Any questions this far?

Sullen eyes looked fae over. I am so sorry. He held back a few tears. Curse his emotions...so much for strong stallion. I know what it is like to lose someone you love, but I could never fully understand what you felt, or how it hurt you. He too, had lost several that he had loved, including his own son. But he had never lost the two equi he loved most in one night, from one cause. It must have been so devastating.

She smiled, indeed it is a terrible thing. After that, I couldn't stay there, so I left, searching for another place to call home, once I did, I adopted a foal, Kiri was her name, and we lived in a herd belonging to a stag dubed Santiago. While we were there, a terrible flood came, and we were washed away to another herd terra. Which is where I met my last mate, Sage. And also the evil brute that forced me. Which led me to had my son, Achillies. Achillies left to go with his father, which broke my heart...but he soon found he wasn't cut out for darkness, and came back...of course he had really bad timing, and came back to warn us of an approaching fire. By that time, we were surrounded, and we had to jump through the flames. She paused as she remembered standing in a circle of flames, and Sage jumping ontop of the flames, and creating a leverage for her to jump over. But risking his own life in the process. Sage nearly killed himself to save me. I thought I'd lost him. Days later I went back to find him alive...but barely. After bringing him back to life...we had a foal named Mystic. Not long after, our harem was attacked by wolves...and I was left to die, but Sage found me in time, and saved me...again. He was my gaurdian angle, and I will always love and remember him. She fought back the tears that threatened....this was turning out to be brieve, she hadn't mentioned Kiri hating her and leaving, or any of that stuff...She looked at him, tears in her eyes...remembering Sage, and everyone that she had left behind.

Dissolve could only watch her. If he had spoken, he would have burst into tears. The horror of her life...she had been through so much. He got the feeling that she wasn't telling everything, but he would never ask for the rest. This was hurting her enough...he couldn't imagine the pain she felt from what she was holding back.
Stag stood, wobbled for a moment on weak stilts, then slowly stepped towards her. He reached her side and lay next to her. I am sorry. He barely got out. Muscular nape wrapped around her own in an equine hug. I am so sorry.

You've done nothing. You did not send the flood, nor the fires....but I am glad I told you. She frowned, one last bit. After the wolves, we decided it was time to move to another land...this time all of us, so we did. But in doing so, we ran into some trouble, and got seperated. I don't know where they are or even....even if....if they are alive. It pained her to say it, but she knew it could potentially be true. She lowered her head and remembered all the good times they had had...and no matter what they had always been there for one another. She looked up at Dissolve. The wind picked up again from the lake, and by the way it was darkening, she assumed that the clouds were returning.
(have you looked at her pic?)

(yep. i love it) Silence insued as the gale whipped through. Worry-filled chasms looked up at the sky...or...the black clouds covering it. A ripple of thunder echoed through the meadow. We'd better get to safety. He commented stupidly. But...where does one hide in a meadow? Come on, let's see if we can't find some shelter.

She nodded, and stood shakilly. She could smell water in the air, and knew the rain was coming. She remembered everything that had happened durring the flood, but kept it to herself. Where do we go? The wind picked up even more, and she shivered...memories. I hate memories some times...don't you? She said it slightly jokingly, and she gave a shaky smile. She looked around, I do know one thing...we should get out of this meadow...lightening tends to hit the tallest thing and where we are, we're it.

You have no idea... Dissolve whispered. He shivered as cold winds barraded his hide. You're right, and the temperature is dropping too fast. The storm will be here in just a few minutes...if we are lucky. Optics frantically scanned the terr. Forest...definitely not. Lakes...even worse to hide in. But that was all there was. Come on...let's go into the woods. We'll be safest there. Half-rearing, stallion began to canter across the field, checking every few moments to make sure his fae was behind him.

She quickly followed suit. Indeed, they would be safest in the woods, but not by much. They reached the end of the woods and she halted. Stop. There was reason to her madness, but she didn't want to seem like a know it all, so she hesitated before saying, If lightining strikes one of the trees, we will be traped. We should stay right on the edge, that way, if something falls, or catches fire, we can still make a brake for it. She hoped she was making sense. But she had had some bad experiences in fires and storms, and she knew plenty about them...she just hoped he would listen.

Dissolve thought for a moment. She had a very good point...he had never thought of that. If something was hit, they would be quite trapped, and the only way out...if it was still a way out...would have been to tresspass on another's terr. That would cause great trouble. Great trouble indeed. You're right, milady. He aknowledged. Good idea. Backtracking a few yards, he stood at the edge of the wood (OOC: tee hee, i rhymed. lol).

She walked over to where she would be just under the first trees of the forest. And as soon as she did, the sky fell. It immediately started pouring...which of course made her vision worse. She frowned, I hate the rain, I can hardly see. She looked toward him, and was saddened to see that she couldn't see him very well, she just saw the patches of white and color on him. She lowered her head a bit, and frowned.

Realizing her sadness, Dissolve stepped closer to Cyclone until his side was against hers. Don't worry, milady. He carressed her nape. You will be able to see better soon enough. After all, it can't rain forever. As he spoke, lightning ripped the sky in two, accompanied by it's spouse Thunder. the two waltzed across the sky hand in hand, never seeming to cease. Lord shrank back a bit...he wasn't too fond of storms. The lightning was beautiful, he had to admit, but it terrified him how quickly and easily it could kill someone. All it had to do was see a figure closer to it than the rest, and boom. It was over. That frightened him.
