She nudged him lightly...I suppose not. I used to love the rain, and I still do, it's just that it really screws up my eyes...it distorts things, twists them around, and makes it difficult to figure out what anything is. For instance, with you, I just see a blurr of colors, in a shape, sort of like a horse. She had nothing against the rain, it was the floods she was afraid of.

That must really suck. Stag said, completely serious. He couldn't possibly survive without sight. It would drive him insane. He admired the tall belle beside him. She had been through so much, yet was still so kind and gentle. A true miracle in herself.

She looked at him. It does, but I've come to accept it. Some things in life you just have to accept, because if you don't, they will haunt you forever. She turned her head forward, and raised it to look at the meadow that streched out before them. The rain still poured, and she expected it would for a long while. She turned her head to face him again. There wasn't much else going on, and it was getting colder as the wind blew harder. She stood there as the tree beside her creeked as it swayed in the wind. She turned to look at it as it swayed. The dark brown blur seemed to be swaying dangerously...

Yet again, you are right. He smiled. Orbs noticed that her attention was, however, turned elsewhere. Something behind him cracked, and dicolored auds instinctively perked backwards. Dial turned abruptly behind him, barely catching a glimpse of a mighty tree collapsing to the ground. It created a domino-like chain of trees bending and snapping. Several smaller, surrounding trees slammed by the branches quickly cracked in two, while a few, taller ones bent and fell against even more larger trees. Splinters of wood shot at the equines like shrapnel, and Dissolve jumped in front...er...behind...Cyclone to protect her from the sharp wood.

She backed up, and went to push him out of the way. What did I tell you? If we had been in there we'd be dead! Come on! She picked up a quick canter and ran into the meadow, 8 strides out she stoped, and looked around. She groaned. I can't see the best way to go. She looked at Dissolve. I can't see...where do we go from here? The rain was starting to rain harder, and the wind was blowing and the thunder clashed above them.

Painted brujo raced alongside his fae, skidding to a stop when she did. He looked around. He hadn't really thought about anything except getting away from there. Well... Nervously and near panic, stag wheeled around, orbs frantically darting from side to side. The whites of his eyes showed as lightning slinked across the black sky. A bolt of the white-hot electricity made contact with a tall pine close to the border of the wood. Anywhere but here! He screamed. Fight-or-Flight mode was kicking in, and Flight was what his mind decided on. Holding onto his cool as well as he could, lord paced farther from the woods. Once the pair reached roughly fifty lengths from the forest, Dissolve lay flat on his side. Come on. He commanded. We don't want to be too high off the ground, or we could be hit.

They ran, and she watched him as he fell, she thought something had happened to him, and she almost stoped, but she heard his instructions, and hesitated, something seemed wrong about that...she thought for a minute before lying down beside him. Something is wrong! she yelled above the roaring wind and thunder. Lightining ran a streak above them. We shouldn't be here! We need to be...somewhere else...

I know! He sobbed. Lyrics rose to near a scream, struggling to be heard above the roar of the storm. I know! But where else is there? Never before had he been so frightened. He had never been one to scare so easily. Usually he was one of the reckless stallions who, during a storm, would run into the most open field he could find and rear when lightning was most likely to strike him. But now that he had something to care for, something to live for, he was terrified of death. Of the death of either of them.

Cyclone could sense his fear, it was something she had learned along time ago, to read the vibes of others, she turned to him, and reached out to nudge his face gently. She very calmly, and reasuringly said, Everything is going to be fine. But one thing I've learned, is that when there is danger, you can't panic, if you panic, you can't think. She looked at him, I need you to calm down so that you can think of where to go. You know the area better than i do. You know the places that may be safe. You need to stop panicing... She smiled. You have to calm down. She nudged him again.

Hessian took a deep gulp, accompanied by a deep sigh. I know. I don't usually panic like this it's just... Lyrics crackled with the threat of oncoming tears. I don't want to lose you...my first fae... Suddenly, lord felt exhausted. Muscles, against his will, relaxed, bringing his dial to sink into the soaked grasses. I don't know this place very well either. I haven't been here long. Barely a day before you came. He admitted. I'm not sure where we can go.

She frowned. It's ok. It's ok. As I said, everything is going to be ok. She smiled, happy to be cared for again. Dissolve, you don't have to worry about me. I've been through much more than a storm. Yes, this is a bigger than most storms, but we will live. I promise. She nudged him again, offering comfort.

(awww!!)
I know it. He smiled, nuzzling back. But where are we to go for safety? As if to emphasize his point, lightning struck again, an arrow set on killing all that moved. Well, we should at least get away from here.

She smiled. Indeed we should. She slowly stood, the rain on her coat shining as the lighting striked above. She looked down at Dissolve. Come on. We've got no time to lose. Her mane clung to her neck, and she was soaked. She smiled in the darkness, and looked ahead. Now that is was dark, she really couldn't see anything except the white on Dissolve's coat.

Alright...follow me. I thought I saw an overhang somewhere this way. Dicolored emperor trotted across the meadow. Orbs were turned cautiously towards the sky, praying the lightning did not choose to eliminate them anytime soon. As he had hoped, a small hill arose on the horizon, it's insides carved out. The small upbring of the terrain created a makeshift shelter, one side formed by the forest, the other by a large blueberry bush. This way! Dissolve cried cheerfully.

She didn't want to go to fast, for fear of tripping, she walked quickly, carefully choosing her footing. But in doing so, she was starting to fall behind. Dissolve was nearly out of her eye sight in this darkness. Wait! I can't see! Where did you go!? She stoped walking, and rose her head to it's height, and did her best to search him out. It wasn't working to well. She stood there, waiting for a response, and a lightining flew across the sky above. She jumped, surprised as the light illuminated the area...THERE! for a split second, she saw the stallion in the distance. She started to walk forwards, but soon got confused, and decided it was best to just sit tight. Dissolve!
